Loix-en-Ré

The smallest village on the island, Loix nestles in the middle of the salt marshes. The Ecomuseum of the salt marsh will reveal to you the whole process of obtaining salt from the “vasais” to the “aires”.

To get to Grouin Point surmounted by its small fort, take the footbridge which clings to the walls of the old Marsh Mill.
