Rivedoux-Plage

From the top of the 50-metre bridge that links Ile de Ré to the mainland, discover Rivedoux-Plage, the first village located at the entrance to the island. As you go down the bridge, you will notice on the left the old ferry landing stage, a reminder of those not so distant times, when people used to go to the mainland and welcome bathers and summer visitors. The large beach at Sablanceaux is the venue for numerous water sports activities, from kite-surfing to jet-skiing, both in summer and winter.

During the high tides, Rivedoux-Plage attracts many fishing enthusiasts who gather at the point of the Chauveau lighthouse. A long walk leaves the port of Rivedoux-Plage in the direction of La Flotte. It will allow you to discover the numerous oyster farms - don't hesitate to stop and taste them.
